David C. Contorno is president and CEO of Lake Norman Benefits, Inc. David is a native from New York City and entered this field at the young age of 14 doing marketing for a major life insurance company. His customer focus, passion for his work, technology experience and performance plunged David into what would become a career of success.

During his 19 years in the insurance business, David has engaged in providing group insurance in various types of markets and industries ranging from manufacturing companies to privately held investment management companies. He has received numerous levels of recognition. To name a few: In 2004, he received a broker spotlight and was recognized by Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield as an outstanding broker of service and in 2005, United Healthcare honored him with the Echelon Award. David is a licensed agent in NY, NJ, CT, NC, SC and UT with Series 7 & 63 certification.

He is an active member in the Lake Norman and Moorseville-South Iredell Chambers of Commerce, and is also a member of the New York & Long Island Associations of Health Underwriters. In addition, he enjoys being a part of Lake Norman Leaders, Rotary International, part of the membership drive for the United Way, active with Habitat for Humanity and participating in networking functions.

David’s background and visionary experience reflects his commitment to offer the finest access to affordable group benefits to all types of employer groups. When he is not working he enjoys golf, boating and being with his wife and their daughter, Hannah.
 
 
Dan Asadoorian, CFO

Dan Asadoorian, Lake Norman Benefits Chief Financial Officer, brings an extensive background with him and will oversee all financial responsibilities of the firm. Dan, originally from Rhode Island, began his career right out of college as a Certified Public Accountant and stayed with that firm for 2 years when he decided to manage his family’s business in the jewelry manufacturing industry. After 23 years he sold the business and relocated to Mooresville, NC where he semi-retired for 7 years. After deciding to come out of retirement he went on to be the General Manager of a flooring company for just over 3 years. We are pleased to bring Dan on to our team, his knowledge and experience will be a huge asset in our growth.

Dan also enjoys spending time with his two grown children and is pleased to welcome a new grandchild into his family.
 
 
 
Rosalie Greene, Director of Client Services

Rosalie Greene is originally from Long Island, New York. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from St. Joseph’s College and a Master of Science from Dowling College.

As the Director of Client Services, Rosalie’s 2 main responsibilities are managing a book of business and assisting our staff in day to day service related issues. Notable is her 15+ years of industry experience. Her ability to multitask and communication skills have solidified relationships with corporate decision makers, insurance companies and other industry service associates.

Prior to joining Lake Norman Benefits, Rosalie worked in senior level positions at several companies, including USI Administrators, Guardian Life and Emerson Reid & Company. In 2004, her career took another leap forward when invited to join Lake Norman Benefits, which was known at the time as one of the quickest growing firms in the insurance broker industry.

Today, Rosalie resides in Indian Trail, NC where she lives with her husband and children. In her free time she is active in her church, enjoys entertaining and participating in activities with her children.
 
 
 
Michelle Satterley, Client Service Manager

Michelle Satterley, Senior Customer Service Manager for Lake Norman Benefits,started in the business in 1997 as an Administrative Assistant and realized that this industry was her true passion. Now, with over 11 years of experience helping clients manage their health insurance and employee benefits, she is continually looking to help people navigate the complicated health insurance world. Married with 2 small children and a loving supportive husband her career traits carry over to her personal life. Her favorite quote is “The talent of success is nothing more than doing what you can do – but do it well”.

Michelle has continued her education with necessary courses to do her job professionally. She is very proud of all the computer applications she has learned over the years In the industry. Recently she has also taken on the role of Marketing Manager for Lake Norman Benefits. Her biggest accomplishment was obtaining the New York State Health Insurance Broker License. After receiving her license Michelle flourished as an excellent Customer Service Manager.
 
 
 
Heather Contorno, Executive Support

Heather Contorno is originally from Long Island, NY. She attended the State University of New York. Upon graduation Heather was employed at Northwestern Mutual Financial Network for eight years where she started as a receptionist and escalated to manager of the policy owner service department. This department was responsible for maintaining relationships with clients whose agents had left the firm.

Heather and David Contorno married in 2007 and were blessed with the birth of their daughter Hannah in March 2009. As well as assisting David, she also processes all new business paperwork and is responsible for inputting client information into our advanced Agency Management System. In her spare time Heather enjoys cooking, baking, and the New York Yankees.
 
 
 
Virginia Marino, Service Support

Ginny Marino has been an employee of Lake Norman Benefits for 4 years. She brings over 30 years of customer service and administrative experience with her from working for Graybar Electric. After retiring in 2004 Ginny and her family moved from New York to Charlotte in July of 2006.

By September 2006 Ginny felt the need to start a new career and Lake Norman Benefits was the right fit. She Assists the Lake Norman Benefits account managers, keeps our clients information up to date, and handles our large administrative projects.

Her dedication and work ethic has carried over in her marriage and the raising of her 13 year old son. In her spare time she volunteers to work with the children’s group at church and is a big New York Yankees baseball fan.

Dave Henning is originally from Rochester, New York. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma City and did his Masters Degree studies in Kansas City, Missouri. He has started and built several successful small businesses and franchises and understands the challenges involved.

As licensed Independent Insurance Agent with Lake Norman Benefits, Dave has access to all the top insurance carriers in North Carolina. Because he can go shopping for you he typically saves people between 9 %and 30% on their insurance premium. As part of the Lake Norman Benefits team, Dave has unmatched resources to help businesses of all sizes control their employee benefits budget while maintaining the best coverage.
 
 
 
Emerald Lewis, Client Service Specialist

While on the track to becoming an RN, Emerald found her real passion for helping people was more on the administrative side than the clinical side of the industry. After 8 years experience working in varies doctors offices and the emergency room, she was lead to the insurance industry. In November 2008 she received her health, life, property & causality insurance license in the state of North Carolina. Emerald has spent the last few years working for State Farm Insurance as a Sales/Account Manager in all aspects of the industry including underwriting, explaining benefits, processing claims and reviewing coverages. She happily joins our team this year to incorporate her knowledge and experience with our steadily growing company.

Emerald is originally from Philadelphia but has called Mooresville, NC home for almost 4 years. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, photography, writing, and taking the kayak out on the lake. Her favorite phrase is "Esse Quam Videri" which in Latin means "To be, rather than to seem". Although this saying meant alot to her prior to moving south, it hit a new level once she learned this phrase was the motto for North Carolina and is written on the state seal.
 
 
 
Brian Lewis, Benefits Consultant

Brian holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology with a Minor in Environmental Science from Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania and a Certificate of Accounting Degree from Philadelphia University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Brian is also licensed by the state of North Carolina for both Life and Health lines of insurance.

Prior to entering the benefits consulting field, Brian has five years of sales experience selling payroll and human resource outsourcing solution services to small and medium sized businesses for both Paychex and ADP. Prior small/medium business sales, Brian worked as a forensic accountant and has conducted extensive investigative, forensic, accounting and analytical research to assist claims and other professionals in the determination of damages in domestic markets and the international markets of Canada, United Kingdom, Caribbean, Brazil and Taiwan. He has also assisted insurance companies and their attorneys in insurance related litigation proceedings.
 
 
 
Beth Cusimano, Personal Assistant/Wellness Coordinator

Beth Cusimano is originally from Jamestown, New York. She attended Jamestown Community College and went right into the Banking world as a Commercial Teller for Chase Lincoln First. In 1992, the career move was stay at home mom for her daughter Alexandria and four years later her daughter Madison. In 2005, Beth wanted to start back into the work force. She started as a substitute teacher for her daughter's school system and also retail sales where she became manager within a year. Needing more opportunity in her career path, Beth went on to working at Lowe's Home Improvement and later, the ideal career opportunity came along - being a Personal Assistant/Wellness Coordinator for Lake Norman Benefits, Inc. In her spare time she loves cooking and spending time with her daughters, family and friends.
